The Spanish-American War from the Spanish Point of View

Earlier this summer the family and I had a chance to take a trip to Spain. I thought that finding any reference to the Spanish-American War while in Spain would be more than a little unlikely. The War of Spanish Succession, yes, a distant war against pesky Norte Americanos, no. But as I wandered through the streets, parks, and museums of Madrid and later Barcelona, I was struck by how many reminders of the Spanish-American war that I would find.
